Meet Your Coach

Hello! My name is Cyndi Dreiband, and I am the proud founder of Top Dog Canine Coaching. Ever since I can remember, I've had a soft spot for our furry friends. You could say I was born to be a dog trainer – or maybe my dogs decided my destiny for me!

My Journey

My adventure in dog training really took off with my Presa Canario, Storm. Storm was a handful with lots of aggressiveness – more like a tornado with fur than a dog. We explored many different training programs and methods. Through patience, love, and a lot of personally developed training, Storm transformed into the well-behaved pooch she is today. Inspired by Storm’s transformation, I decided to turn my passion into a profession.

I pursued formal education in dog training originally to help Storm, earning my certification from Animal Behavior College. Since then, I’ve trained dogs at a franchise facility, which has equipped me with the skills to handle a variety of dog behaviors.

Additionally, I have been a head coach for individual soccer, cheerleading, and basketball skills for Special Olympics athletes. This experience has honed my organizational skills and deepened my commitment to effective, empowering coaching techniques for humans and their companion animals alike.

My approach is all about using the least intrusive, minimally aversive techniques and strict adherence to the humane hierarchy. I believe that training should be a rewarding experience for both dogs and their owners.

My Experience and Expertise

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of dogs – from playful puppies who think shoes are chew toys to more challenging adult dogs who believe they’re the boss. Each dog has taught me something new and reinforced my commitment to using humane, effective training methods. My training sessions are always personalized, considering each dog’s unique personality and the specific needs of their owners.
